Nature, Environment and Campus Development Cell

The Nature, Environment and Campus Development Cell believes that nature teaches us life’s lessons in its own subtle ways and enables our students to share their responsibilities in maintaining a healthy environment in and outside the JRM Campus and to take steps to avoid environmental degradation in their individual capacity as well in a group. To arouse general awareness among the students regarding different environmental problems and to inculcate love, respect, and value our mother nature and the environment. The Nature, Environment and Campus Development Cell is the recently formed committee set in motion in 1 st January, 2024.

Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of this committee are as follows:

  1. Implementation of Green Policy and improvement of college based on it.
  2. Make the college a tobacco free and plastic free campus by observing vehicle free campus entry in a month.
  3. To make the college a “Green Campus”.
  4. To strategize plans and initiatives to click environmental consciousness among the stakeholders.
  5. To invoke sustainable development, nature and environment related seminars and courses.
  6. To make extension activities through NSS unit of our college.
  7. To organize days of observance such Earth Day, World Environment Day, and other such related days.
  8. To monitor the process of keeping the classroom, corridors, staff rooms toilets, and surrounding areas clean and to promote good hygiene amongst student teachers as well as non- teaching staff.
  9. Continuous observation to keep the college building and furniture in the best of form for normal use and keep ensure the use of the college building as the shelter in an emergency caused by natural hazards events or the time of elections and other purposes
  10. To create a good impression for visitors and to set good examples for students, a beautification of campus to be initiated from time to time based on the conditions of climate.
  11. Hold meeting regularly and report measures and recommendations to authority for further action.
