Arabic is an international language and Arabic literature is a subject of humanity. This course makes the students familiar with a language and with new culture. It broadens the periphery of knowledge of the students and moulds the character and behaviour of the students. Jatindra Rajendra Mahavidyalaya was established in 1986. The department of Arabic in this college began very recently. It started its journey in the year 2011 with a pass course. The output of the students of the department in the university examination was satisfactory for several years since inception. On the basis of this achievement the department made an attempt to upgrade itself to the Honours course. The attempt was made successfully with the active co-operation of our Teacher-in-Charge Madam, Prof. Geetali Bera at that time. Thus, the Honours course was started in the department in 2015 with two Guest Teachers. Now the department has two State-Aided-College Teachers (SACT) and one Invitee Lecturer. The present faculties are competent in handling the entire course efficiently which is proved by the performance of the students. The department maintains a good and harmonious student-teacher relationship.
